Terms of Use

Tactica is a free, open-source portfolio project. Using it means agreeing to a few plain conditions, summarized here.

Acceptable use

Tactica is shared infrastructure on a small budget. Please use it in good faith:

  • Don’t try to overwhelm the service — automated scraping, scripted floods, or attempts to bypass the rate limits and bot protection are not allowed.
  • Don’t attempt to extract real operational data — there is none; every theater is synthetic and fictional.
  • Don’t use the service to harass others or to probe for security weaknesses outside a responsible-disclosure context.
  • Some queries about ongoing real-world tragedies are declined by design and redirected to a fictional scenario; that boundary is intentional.

Synthetic, AI-generated content

Everything Tactica produces is fiction. Scenarios, forces, forecasts, and outcomes are invented and generated by AI and a deterministic simulation engine. Casualty and probability figures are synthetic estimates from a simple model — they are not real intelligence, advice, or prediction, and must not be relied upon for any real-world decision. Tactica is for demonstration and entertainment.

License

Tactica’s source code is open source. Your use of the code is governed by its open-source license, available in the repository. These terms of use cover the hosted service at tactica.dev; the code license covers the software itself.

No warranty, limited liability

The service is provided “as is,” without warranty of any kind, and may change or go offline at any time. As a free portfolio project, Tactica and its author are not liable for any loss arising from use of the service or reliance on its synthetic output, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
